The holiday cabins are detached, offering privacy and peace with a self-catering option, perfect for a peaceful, romantic vacation. Enjoy your holiday accommodation above the beach with the breaking of the Atlantic waves and the cooling Trade winds to soothe you.
Up to three adults may comfortably enjoy the spacious holiday accommodation. Cool off in the pool or lounge in the hammock on the stunning elevated pool deck.
At Tobago holiday accommodation we offer 24 hour staffing on site for your convenience, security and assistance. Let our staff enhance your vacation experience with personal caribbean cooking and lessons, and more. Our Tobago holiday accommodation is totally eco-powered using a powerful solar panel array and locally-built wind turbine, hot shower water is heated by the plentiful sun and guests may enjoy pure filtered rain-water to drink. Please note: We have 3 friendly dogs, 2 medium sized local mongrels which we rescued, and 1 large dog.
Massage & fitness: We have arranged for top Swiss masseur and personal fitness trainer Chris Blaser to visit our Tobago holiday accommodation for surprisingly affordable massages in the comfort of a cabin, or the cool shaded breeze of the elevated pool deck. Included in the rate (US $42) are the visit with his couch and equipment and 1 hour massage, either "Sports","Classical" or good old "Relaxation".
Chris offers personal fitness training too so you can return from your vacation looking better and feeling great - either visit his VIP Gym for training (25 minutes by taxi or rental car), or bring him to the Tobago holiday accommodation for mat-based workouts or jogging on the long sandy beach. Simply ask your hosts to book you an appointment.
The Tobago holiday accommodation is built to a spacious, super-cool insulated design. A perfect haven for couples or up to 3 family members, these studio style cabins boast fully fitted bathrooms and kitchens, double bed, ensuite private bathroom with shower, hot & cold water, wc, mirror and face basin. At Tobago holiday accommodation we provide you with complimentary bed linen, bath towels, starter groceries, clock-radio, fan, refrigerator, iron & ironing board, dining table and chairs, gas cooker with oven, and cooking/eating utensils.
The Louvre windows with insect screens offer through ventilation by cooling trade winds (we call it “a/a/c” or “Atlantic air-conditioning”!) and highly insulated roof guarantees a cool stay.
At Tobago holiday accommodation we have a spacious elevated seaview sundeck with leisure pool, sun loungers, hammock, table, chairs, sunshade and guests' barbecue. Cabins are now fitted with a TV and multi-region DVD player, plus guests may bring their own DVDs or enjoy complimentary movies from our small DVD library.
There are secure gated grounds, 24 hour staff on site to assist you, and access to complimentary tours, restaurant, car rental and taxi bookings services. The cabins are conveniently located for the shops and restaurants of Scarborough and South-West Tobago. We also offer an inexpensive personal shopping/Caribbean cooking service/tuition by your friendly local housekeeper.
Note: We are Tobago's only resort to offer wireless high speed internet access from anywhere - cabin, poolside and beach! At Tobago holiday accommodation guests can access the internet free of charge using their laptop or palm held device with network card, and the base station/router is entirely powered by solar power. Laptop or device batteries are charged using solar power. We also have UK phone & fax facilities as well as our local numbers.

Our Tobago holiday accommodation is locally owned and all taxes are paid locally. Any profits remain in Trinidad and Tobago.
The holiday accommodation was built using locally manufactured or sourced materials from Tobago. We employ local staff under excellent terms and conditions including paying them well over minimum wage, offering sick and holiday pay, national insurance payments plus 2 days off each week. We offer guests and staff public liability insurance cover. We help a local home for displaced children in Tobago, "Jesus Cares Family Cottage", by collecting funds and donating time, effort, money and visitors’ used items. Please help us to help the local kids and the environment by recycling old clothes and toys - search your attic or ask friends, then bring second hand kids' clothing including school wear, especially shoes and sneakers (trainers), toys (please ensure these are still safe) and books. If you wish, we can then take you to deliver your items in person and to meet the kids - there is little more satisfying than actually seeing your old items delight and enhance the lives of developing world children, and a visit can be a useful educational exercise for "first world" children. Our resort is probably the only one in Tobago offering a genuinely green experience, fully powered by renewable energy sources, with solar water heating, some recycling and harvesting rain water for drinking plus our own simple grey/black water treatment systems. We now have a machine to make BBQ briquettes from recycled paper and cardboard, encouraging our guests to help make them if they wish and we have obtained a professional solar oven which we shall be encouraging guests to try - a novel and fun way to cook using renewable energy. Guests may even choose to enjoy “beachcombing with a difference” – assisting us with occasional collection of washed up non-biodegradable litter from our secret little beach paradise. We grow our own bananas, coconuts and plantain, using organic methods ie.no insecticides etc, and offer/give these to any guests on request. We have now started to germinate our own chilli pepper plants with a view to harvesting the peppers and making caribbean hot sauce - free for guests brave enough. The Tobago holiday accommodation is located above development-free Minister Bay Beach, a mile long swathe of palm-fringed sand, immortalised in the 1960 Disney film classic Swiss Family Robinson, and barely changed since. Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've lead the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
