the amazing things you'll be doing
This magical retreat sits on the edge of Datca’s shimmering bay and is the ultimate escape for those who like to get away from it all. This secret oasis has been described as eccentric and exotic, and you will be captivated as soon as you arrive. Made up of a cluster of buildings, each with its own unique character, the elaborate Ottoman and Oriental style is decorated with quirky, intriguing features.

Situated on a gentle slope down to the sandy beach, between the buildings are paths, archways and ornamental iron gates leading to a maze of peaceful little courtyards. Big leafy palms line the gardens, which are decorated by ancient-style columns, pillars, statues and fountains. With great sailing in a truly magnificent bay and lots to enjoy on shore, this club will truly take your breath away.
activities
Pool, activity centre holiday in Turkey Onshore at this centre there are plenty of options for non-sailors. For complete relaxation there is a secluded large swimming pool and sauna, a children’s pool, and a sandy beach if you prefer to watch the action on the water while you sunbathe. There is also a more private adult’s only pool available just across the beach. The main open-air restaurant is perfectly in the centre of the club, close to the water and just above the beach. Spend some of the day curled up in oversized chairs or relax on huge cushions, with your holiday reading or just simply snooze in the sunshine making the most of the refreshing breeze, which carries the wonderful perfumes of this Turkish delight! Later on watch the sunset over the bay from your favourite hideaway whilst sipping your evening cocktail.

Kids club: Our excellent ALL DAY free childcare programme means that if you wish, your kids have the opportunity to be entertained by professional and caring nannies and activity instructors. The great thing about our kids' clubs is that they are extremely flexible, and your children can spend precious time with you or alternatively enjoy the kids club activities, as you please! We also offer a one to one babysitting service, Night Crèche and supervised Video Club on inclusive meal nights and an Evening Activity Club on non-inclusive evenings (subject to availability), which enables you to enjoy an evening relaxing or visiting the locality. • how this holiday makes a difference
This hotel is Turkish owned and of a maximum of 120 staff during high season, 75 are local, working in all parts of the hotel. Full training is offered to UK and local staff alike. This includes health & hygiene, customer service, and beach standards, including the opportunity for local staff to gain RYA sailing qualifications and in several cases promotion to management.

The club is located close to Datca town in the centre of the unspoiled Datca Peninsula where the Aegean is separated from the Mediterranean. This is a very rural agricultural area and we are therefore able to take advantage of the local food, and vegetable suppliers ensuring that apporximately 90% of our food comes from local suppliers. Spare parts are also sourced locally where available.

Our flexible half board meal plan enables our guests to try the local cuisine, during the day or evening in Datca town and the surrounding area. In order to further support the local community we recommend visits to local markets, Turkish baths, craft shops and also organise excursions to places of interest. Our en site shop sell local crafts and merchandise, and a variety of local vendors regularly visit to display their wares.

Our team work closely with the local Mayor to support the local children and regularly donate sailing kit towards the children's summer holiday sailing programme. Children taking part in our kid's clubs enjoy nature walks, learning about the local seaside and countryside. The kid's weekly menu includes local dishes such as pide and moussaka served by our Turkish staff. They are tasked to learn a Turkish word daily and are actively involved in making decorations for Turkish night and taking part in traditional dancing.

Sailing at Turkey beach club We have a environmental policy in place. Eco Lab cleaning products are used for room and boat cleaning. Safety boat/outboard engines are 4 stroke reducing emissions and fuel consumption. Our hotels operate Bio Packs, biological sewage systems in order to treat sewage and reuse the water on the gardens. We offer customer tips on environmental responsibility in our brochure, website, pre-holiday information and during briefings. This includes advice on litter and waste disposal, water conservation, energy saving, and care for local flora and fauna. We can also learn from our customers and invite their feedback and recommendations on our post holiday questionnaires.

Our chosen charity is currently the Amazing Grace Foundation in Antigua. The foundation runs a small home on the island for homeless and severely disabled children. Last year thanks to our generous guests we raised over £7000 for Amazing Grace which will be used towards the build of a new home for the children.

In addition to the above we support VISAR, Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) a voluntary organisation dedicated to saving life at sea. It is the officially recognised search and rescue service in the British Virgin Islands and to date we have raised several thousands pounds for this worthwhile cause. Getting youngsters on the water is important to us and we therefore continue to sponsor the RYA's OnBoard programme to introduce sailing and windsurfing as a sport for young people.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
