the amazing things you'll be doing
This fairytale city on the coast of Finnish Gulf is a medieval paradise. Only 2.5h flight from London, Tallinn is an easily affordable travel option and a fascinating place for your short break. The famous Old Town with its kilometers of winding cobblestone streets and charming medieval houses is in fact the best-preserved old town in northern Europe.

Take our complimentary walking tour in the Old Town and visit the Toompea Hill with Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and see the Parliament building. We'll take a look into St. Mary’s Cathedral and you’ll also have a chance to board optional excursions to local ceramics factory and residential areas to get even deeper overview of Estonian capital.

To make the most of Tallinn’s romantic cafes and quality restaurants, we have compiled a special culinary route for you to discover Tallinn’s culinary pleasures with suggestions for our favourite treats. You’ll also contribute to green thinking as we’ve organised your stay in a comfortable 4-star Green key hotel adjacent to Old Town walls.

Below is an itinerary for a 3 day tour, but we can also tailor tours to suit your individual requests.
day-by-day itinerary
Day 1:Arrival to Tallinn, transfer to your hotel. Overnight in central 4-star hotel.
Day 2:Visit the most important parts of this medieval town on your Old Town walking tour and get an overview of the Lower and Upper Town with its narrow streets, shops, romantic cafes and restaurants. The afternoon will be free for you to continue discovering the streets of the Old Town by yourself. You will also be able to sample the fine cuisines of the many quality restaurants – just follow our special culinary guide.
Day 3:Optional tram tour to beautiful Kadriorg Park. For those of you preferring to stay in town by yourself, a complimentary easy-to-use information pack on Tallinn's best attractions, cafes, restaurants and with some extra useful tips is provided. Departure home.
how this holiday makes a difference
This Tallinn short break provides you with the possibility of getting acquainted with the beautiful Nordic capital in just a long weekend away. To make sure the money stays within the visited community we’re using local guides and bus companies and advise on the most sustainable shopping opportunities.

Our guests will receive an information pack containing detailed information on vital data about Tallinn and Estonia in general, including information about the country’s social and political situation, plus the Traveller’s Responsible Code of Conduct. All of this will be sent by e-mail to minimise the use of paper. We also encourage our guests to read about the country before coming to find out more about their host communities and the environment so that they can connect better with the locals. We provide suggestions on how best to support the local economies and communities, as well as the surrounding environment.

We choose hotels that answer the environmental standards of Green Key certificate according to which it is the responsibility of the business to inform the guests to act in an environmentally responsible way during their stay, but also in their everyday lives. The request may, for example, concern the limitation of the guest’s own water and energy consumption, as well as information about airing in rooms with a thermostat. It also means that:
  • Toilet-cisterns are not allowed to flush more than 7 litres per flush
  • Dripping taps, leaky toilet-cisterns and similar are not allowed
  • The flow of water from showers must not exceed 10 litres per minute
  • The flow of water from taps placed at wash basins must not exceed 8 litres per minute and many more
All of our staff, including the guides are aware of responsible travel policies and encourage our guests to make as positive influence on their holiday destination as possible to make the experience even more enjoyable on both directions.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
