All our holidays begin in medieval Tallinn, only a 2,5 hour flight from London and a highly recommended tourist destination. Tallinn Old Town with its kilometers of cobblestone streets, medieval houses and traditional restaurants is a fairy-tale city and a UNESCO Heritage site since 1997.

Your second destination – Helsinki - is a modern and cosmopolitan city. With dozens of parks in the city centre, the 315 islands just off the coast, the unpolluted and fresh air Helsinki is also known as a natural haven.

St. Petersburg - the Venice of the North - with its winding canals, arched bridges and little islands is a graceful city with many architectural styles!

how this holiday makes a difference
This tour gives you an opportunity to discover three beautiful Nordic capitals by yourself in just 6 days. We use scheduled cruise ferry between Tallinn and Helsinki and public train between Helsinki and St. Petersburg and public coach between St.Petersburg Tallinn in order to avoid unnecessary pollution and also to give our guests a good opportunity to meet the locals. To make sure the money stays within the visited community we're using local transport companies.

You'll also receive an information pack containing information on vital data about all three destination countries – Estonia, Finland and Russia, including information about the countries social and political situation, plus the Traveller's Responsible Code of Conduct. All of this will be sent by e-mail to minimise the use of paper.

We also encourage our guests to read about the country before coming to find out more about their host communities and the environment so that they can connect better with the locals. We provide suggestions on how best to support the local economies and communities, as well as the surrounding environment. All of our staff, including your tour guide are aware of responsible travel policies and encourage our guests to make as positive influence on their holiday destination as possible to make the experience even more enjoyable in both directions.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
